Notting Hill Nursery School Team
At Notting Hill Nursery School, out Teachers are higly qualified and experienced. All have had disclosure and barring services (DBS) checks and they all completed a paediatric First aid course
Miss Soraia
Founder and Headteacher
Miss Soraia began her career working with children over 18 years ago. She has extensive qualifications, experience and a deep passion for teaching, with a special affinity for Early Years education. Her enthusiasm was sparkled by her desire to be the best role model for her own daughter, fostering a love of learning in her. Miss Soraia believes that a nurturing, encouraging and positive start to education will cultivate engaged and curious learners who will enjoy learning regardless their abilities. Before opening her own nursery school, she worked in private Early Years settings.
Miss Soraia and Miss Denise combined their knowledge, skills, experience and love for children to create a small, cosy nursery school providing children with an environment in which they will develop and blossom.
Miss Denise
Founder and Headteacher
Miss Denise has been passionate about Early Years education from a young age, starting her work with children at 16. With over 11 years’ experience, she trained as an Early Years Educator and has worked in private Early Years settings. Miss Denise specialises in preparing pre-school children for the transition to primary education. She takes great pride in ensuring children are happy, confident and independent learners, ready for their next adventure. Miss Denise is a qualified SENDCO officer, she has an extensive knowledge and experience working with children with additional needs, ensuring their needs are met and they develop to their full potential. Since opening her own nursery, Miss Denise has also completed her Diploma in Leadership and Management (Early Years).
Miss Dani
Nursery Assistant
Miss Dani has previously worked as a nanny for several years and she is a mother herself. She joined Notting Hill Nursery School as a class assistant in February 2023 and recently completed her childcare qualification.
Miss Karoliny
Class Teacher
Miss Karoliny embarked on a new career when she joined Notting Hill Nursery School as a class assistant in October 2022. She decided to study with us and achieved her Early Years Educator qualification.
Miss Penny
Nursery Assistant
Miss Penny is working towards a level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, she hopes to complete with a distinction, she has many years of experience as a nursery assistant as well as a nanny. Miss Penny can’t imagine working in any other profession, she believes early childhood education can have an everlasting impact on a child’s life and hopes to make a positive difference with her playful energy.
Miss Marta
Spanish Teacher
Marta joined us when our nursery opened in April 2021. She brings extensive experience in teaching Spanish to both Early Years and Primary children.
Miss Ciara
Ballet Teacher
Miss Ciara who grew up in Ireland, was dancing even before she could walk. She started her ballet training at the age of eight and immediately develop passion from it. In 2017, she moved to London and graduated from the Royal Academy of Dance with a BA (HONS) in Ballet Education. Miss Ciara is part of Knightsbridge Ballet / Dakoda's Dance Academy and teaches our weekly ballet class. The Knightsbridge Ballet has been offering ballet classes at our nursery since it opened in April 2021.
Miss Alys
Music Teacher
Miss Alys originally from South Wales, graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2018. Since then, she has been freelancing as a musician across London. Passionate about music and education, Miss Alys also holds a MA in Music Education and works regularly with nursery and SEND children. Miss Alys performs regularly as a French Horn player and she frequently performs in many musical theatre productions. She joined Notting Hill Nursery School as our weekly Music Teacher in September 2021.
Miss Lottie
Music/ Drama Teacher
Miss Lottie is a Welsh soprano and graduate of the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, where she earned a Master's in Classical Singing. She has performed with Welsh National Opera, English Touring Opera, and Live Music Now, gaining wide experience across classical repertoire.
Passionate about education and outreach, Miss Lottie has led workshops in ALN schools, nurseries, care homes, and hospitals, making music accessible to all. She also founded her own business to inspire imagination, creativity, and confidence through the performing arts using music as a powerful tool for connection and joy.
